Antiquity – Constantine & The Law of Christ
Scholars continue to debate when exactly the first Christian Roman Emperor converted to Christianity and what kind of conversion it was. How should we understand the broader relationship between state, church, politics and religion in the Constantine age? Dr Caroline Humfress of Birkbeck College, University of London, will be giving a talk on the subject at the Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institution 7.30pm. Visitors

Professor Stephen Banfeld will be giving a talk which will be an introduction to the work of the Bristol-based Centre for the history of Music in Britain, The Empire and the Commonwealth of which he is director.
